The OPTICE project aims at communicating to a broad public the importance of multidisciplinary studies for the understanding of complex climate systems and their interactions with human activities.
While nowadays the mass-media attract considerable attention towards these topics, they often lack specificity and in-depth analysis. Therefore, we wish to make this scientific project accessible while communicating science in a clear and understandable way, which we beleive it is key for both the public and stakeholders.

Through the use of videos, documents, interviews, conferences, and meetings in schools, it is possible to spread basic and not-so-basic notions about the cryosphere and climate change. Ultimately, the goal is to raise public awareness, hopefully before ice and snow in the Alps are just a memory.
